On Sunday afternoon, C had his heart set on a hike. 9-5 jobs don’t allow for a lot of time in the great outdoors, so we have to make sure to squeeze hikes in here and there when we can. Court had heard about the Billy Goat Trails in Carderock, Maryland and he found a easy/moderate trail that he thought would be a good place to start. We did the C trail, which was 1.7 miles each way. It was definitely on the easy side of moderate… there was no incline or rough terrain (we both agreed it looked as if they vacuumed the trail in parts) but it was nice to be outside and breathe clean air.
Bear called when we were out on the trail, so I had a nice chat with her. 🙂 Technology in nature.
We returned to Virginia and we met up with C’s roommate Roberto at Lost Dog Cafe for dinner. They have a pretty (albeit over priced) beer selection.
