“Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl,

and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.”

  1. Thanks for this quote – its lovely 🙂 This book is on my Christmas wishlist. Can’t wait to give it a read. I recently read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by her husband, Jonathan Saffran Foer. It’s another great book and definitely worth checking out.

    • The History of Love is one of my favorite books. You’ll love it. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is another favorite! Have you seen the trailer for the movie yet? !!!!

      • I have! I’m excited to see the movie, but a bit nervous it won’t live up to the book. Why isn’t he wearing white clothes?! And where oh where are his grandparents – they don’t show up in the trailer at all! His grandparents’ story was my favorite part of the book so I really hope it wasn’t cut from the movie. I’m interested to see how well they are able to convey Foer’s unique style to the big screen as well.

  2. hi bb! guess what? last week i was telling my housemate about my grandmother’s health condition and the loving relationship she still has with my grandfather…and my housemate recommended that i read this very book!! do you have a copy i could borrow? xoxo
