This morning, C and finnnnallyyy visited Alexandria’s Farmer’s Market (or as C says, the Framer’s Market!) They close pretty early (at 11am!) so you have to get down there early enough to get a good pick. Their market is set up in front of a government building in the middle of Old Town. Supposedly, George Washington used to sell his crops that he grew at Mt. Vernon here.
I love the American flag that hangs on the building right now. Makes it feel extra historical and extra American.
It was hotter than Hades out there today and super muggy too, but we made a couple rounds a got some goods!
The market is not as big as Eastern Market, but it had lots of good summer produce.
The peaches looked especially yummy. They were everywhere! We grabbed a couple. I love a good peach in the summer!
I love sunny flowers. I got a bunch a few weeks ago and they last forever, which is really nice!
C got my some colorful flowers for my bedroom. 🙂
